Okay, this was my very first attempt with my new light tent. I think it's a dud. Going to mess with it. I am NOT a photographer. My poor father is turning over in his grave right now!
Hi Janice! I should do one with pictures as I go along. The eggs I use are of three types. Some are blown eggs. I got them at a garage sale I think. Some are plastic easter eggs I got in a junk store. A couple are wooden eggs from another garage sale.
First I glue a polymer face I made from a mold onto the egg. With these I made the mold from a very small plastic babydoll probably from the 1940s or '50s.
Then I cover the whole thing with paper. Then paint it with gesso. Then I do washes of paints until I'm happy. Some have a bit of that rub on "gold leafing".

So glad to see you're back!!!! Keep up with the photography aspect of your art - hey, you can't be perfect in everything all the time!!
Thanks. I sure hope I can get a bit better at photographing this stuff, because it's mainly how I share it.
Thanks again!
They are BEAUTIFUL!
How did you make the eggs? I love them. I make an Easter egg from a blown egg every year for my sister and have about exhausted ways to make them.

I like the effect of the faces sticking out.
A lot of my work is from recycled stuff.
